عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهَا: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ كَانَ لا يَدَعُ أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ، رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would never omit the four rak'ahs before Zuhr. Reported by al-Bukhari.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was constant in praying four rak'ahs before Zuhr, and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was the most knowledgeable of the condition of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
