Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that a man sought permission to enter upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Admit him; what an evil brother of the clan he is." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim). Al-Bukhari cited it as evidence for the permissibility of backbiting the people of corruption and the people of suspicion.
