عن أبي هريرة رضي اللّه عنه قال: سمِعتُ رسولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يقول: «كُلُّ أَمَّتِي مُعَافًى إِلَّا المُجاهرينَ، وإِنَّ مِن المُجاهرةِ أَن يعمَلَ الرَّجُلُ باللَّيلِ عمَلًا، ثُمَّ يُصْبحَ وَقَدْ سَتَرهُ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَيقُولُ: يَا فلانُ عَمِلْتُ الْبَارِحَةَ كذَا وَكَذَا، وَقَدْ بَاتَ يَسْتُرُهُ ربُّهُ، ويُصْبحُ يَكْشفُ سِتْرَ اللّهِ عنه» متفق عليه.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "All of my ummah will be pardoned except those who sin openly. Among open sinning is when a man commits a sin at night, and though Allah has concealed it for him, he says in the morning: 'O so-and-so, last night I did such-and-such.' He spent the night with his Lord concealing his sin, but in the morning he tears away Allah's concealment from himself." Agreed upon.

إلّا المجاهرين: المجاهرة بمعنى الإعلان والإظهار، والمراد الذين أعلنوا وأظهروا معاصيهم وكشفوا ما ستر اللّه تعالى عليهم لغير ضرورة.
"Those who sin openly" (al-mujahirin): open sinning (mujaharah) means announcing and displaying; the intended meaning is those who publicly announce and display their sins and uncover what Allah the Most High has concealed for them, without necessity.

عِظَم ذنب المجاهرين الذين يتقصّدون إظهار المعاصي. في المجاهرة تهاون لستر اللّه عزّ وجلّ، وفي التستّر مع التوبة الحصول على ستر اللّه تعالى. الجهر بالمعصية يدل على الاستخفاف بحقّ اللّه ورسوله وصالحي المؤمنين. في الجهر بالمعاصي اعتداء على الحرمات العامة واستخفاف بالدين. يدخل في المجاهرة نشر الإنسان لصوره حال المعصية في الشبكات الاجتماعية وغيرها.
The enormity of the sin of those who deliberately publicize their transgressions. Open sinning shows disregard for Allah's concealment, while concealing one's sins alongside repentance leads to attaining Allah's concealment. Publicizing sins indicates disrespect for the rights of Allah, His Messenger, and the righteous believers. Publicizing sins is an assault on public sanctities and a trivialization of the religion. Posting images or videos of oneself committing sins on social media and similar platforms falls under open sinning.
