Abu ʿAli Ṭalq ibn ʿAli (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "When a man calls his wife for his need, let her come to him even if she is at the oven." [Tirmidhi and Nasaʾi; Tirmidhi said: a good and authentic hadith]
"For his need": what he needs from her of what is due him. "Al-tannūr": the household oven used for baking bread; meaning she is occupied with an important task, yet she leaves it in response to her husband's request.
