عن أَبي أَيُّوبَ خالدِ بنِ زيدٍ الأنصاريّ رضيَ اللهُ عنه أَنَّ رجلًا قالَ: يا رسولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الجنَّةَ، وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ. فقال النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ: «تَعبُدُ اللهَ، ولا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ» متفقٌ عليه.
Abu Ayyub Khalid ibn Zayd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise and keep me far from the Fire. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, establish the prayer, give the zakah, and maintain the ties of kinship." [Agreed upon]

بيان أنَّ من أسباب دخول الجنَّة والنجاة من النار يوم القيامة ما ذُكِر في الحديث، من عبادة اللهِ وعدم الإشراك به، وإقامة الصلاة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وصلة الرحم. لا يكون دخول الجنة بالآمال والأحلام وترك الأعمال كما يفعل بعض المغرورين والمقصِّرين.
An explanation that among the means of entering Paradise and being saved from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection are those mentioned in the hadith: worshipping Allah and not associating anything with Him, establishing the prayer, giving the zakah, and maintaining the ties of kinship. Entry into Paradise is not attained through mere hopes and wishful dreams while abandoning good works, as some deluded and negligent people imagine.
