عن مَيْمُونِ بنِ أَبي شَبِيبٍ أَنّ عَائشَةَ رضي اللهُ عنها مَرَّ بِها سَائِلٌ، فَأَعْطَتْهُ كِسْرَةً، وَمرَّ بِهَا رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ ثِيَابٌ وهَيْئَةٌ، فَأَقْعَدَتْهُ، فَأَكَلَ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا في ذلكَ؟ فقالت: قال رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «أَنْزِلُوا النَّاسَ مَنَازِلَهُمْ» رواه أبو داود. لكِنْ قال: مَيْمُونُ لَمْ يُدْرِك عائِشَةَ. وَقَدْ ذَكَرَهُ مُسْلِمٌ في أَوَّلِ صَحِيحهِ تَعْلِيقًا فقال: وَذُكِرَ عَنْ عائِشَةَ رضي اللهُ عنها قالت: أَمرنا رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُنْزِلَ النَّاسَ مَنَازِلَهُمْ، وَذَكَرَهُ الحاكِمُ أَبُو عبدِ اللهِ في كِتابِهِ (مَعْرفَة عُلُومِ الحَديث) وقال: هو حديثٌ صحيح.
Maymun ibn Abi Shabib reported that a beggar passed by 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), so she gave him a piece of bread. Then a man passed by her wearing fine clothes and of a refined appearance, so she had him seated and he ate. She was asked about this, and she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Accord people their proper stations." Reported by Abu Dawud, though he said: Maymun did not meet 'A'ishah. Muslim mentioned it in suspended form (ta'liq) at the beginning of his Sahih, saying: It has been related from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to accord people their proper stations. Al-Hakim Abu 'Abdullah also mentioned it in his book Ma'rifat 'Ulum al-Hadith and said: It is a sound (sahih) hadith.
الشرح · explanation
كسرة: القطعة المكسورة من الخبز. رجل عليه ثياب وهيئة: أي الحالة الظاهرة، والمراد هنا حالة حسنة. منازلهم: مراتبهم ومناصبهم.
"A piece": the broken-off portion of bread. "A man wearing fine clothes and of a refined appearance": that is, his outward state; what is intended here is a good condition. "Their stations": their ranks and positions.

الحثّ على مراعاة مراتب الناس ومكانتهم ليُعطى كلُ ذي حقٍّ حقَّهُ في القيام والمخاطبة وغير ذلك من الحقوق. الاستدلال بالحديث النبوي حجة قوية في الشرع، وهو أبلغ من ذكر الحكم من غير دليل.
Encouragement to observe people's ranks and standing, so that each one who has a right is given his due in standing up for him, in addressing him, and in other rights. Proving a point through a prophetic hadith is a strong proof in the religion, and it is more eloquent than stating a ruling without evidence.
