عن أَبي سعيدٍ سَمُرَةَ بنِ جُنْدُبٍ رضيَ اللهُ عنه قال: لَقَدْ كنْتُ عَلَى عهْدِ رسولِ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ غُلامًا، فَكُنْتُ أَحفَظُ عنْهُ، فَمَا يَمْنَعُني مِنَ القَوْلِ إِلَّا أَنَّ هَهُنَا رِجالًا هُمْ أَسَنُّ مِنِّي. متفق عليه.
Abu Sa'id Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: During the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) I was a young boy, and I used to memorize from him. Nothing prevented me from speaking except that there were men present who were older than me. Agreed upon.
