عن جُنْدُبِ بنِ عبدِ اللهِ رضيَ اللهُ عنه قال: قالَ رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «مَنْ صَلَّى صَلاَةَ الصُّبْحِ، فَهُوَ في ذِمَّةِ اللهِ، فَلا يَطْلُبَنَّكُمُ اللهُ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ بِشَيءٍ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَطْلُبْهُ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ بِشَيءٍ يُدْرِكْهُ، ثُمَّ يَكُبُّهُ عَلى وَجْهِهِ في نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ» رواه مسلم.
Jundub ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prays the dawn prayer is under the protection of Allah. So let Allah not call you to account for anything pertaining to His protection. For whoever Allah holds accountable concerning His protection, He will seize him, and then cast him down upon his face in the Fire of Hell." Reported by Muslim.

من صلى صلاة الصبح: أي صلاها جماعة في وقتها. في ذمة الله: في عهده وأمانه وضمانه. يكبّه: يُلقيه ويَقلبه.
"Whoever prays the dawn prayer": that is, prays it in congregation at its proper time. "Under the protection of Allah": under His covenant, His safekeeping, and His guarantee. "Cast him down": throw him and turn him over.

خُصّت صلاة الصبح بهذه الأفضلية، لما فيها من الكُلفة والمشقّة، فالحرص عليها علامة على الإخلاص. حماية الله تعالى لمن صلّى الصبح في جماعة في المسجد. هذه الفضيلة تكون لمن صلّى الفجر مع الجماعة في المسجد، جمعًا بين الأحاديث، إلا للنّساء ولمن كان له عذرٌ يمنعه من شهودها جماعةً في المسجد. ترك صلاة الصبح أو أداؤها بعد طلوع الشمس يعرّض العبد لنقض الذمّة والعهد الذي بينه وبين ربه. فيه غاية التحذير من التعرض بسوء لمن صلى صلاة الصبح المستلزمة لصلاة بقيّة الخمس، وأنّ في التعرّض له بسوء غاية الإهانة والعذاب. استشعار رحمة الله لعباده وحبّه أن يعملوا بطاعته؛ لذا رتّب لهم الأجور العظيمة والفضائل الكبيرة لمن يعمل بطاعته. على كل ذي سلطان أن يرفق بمن تحت أمره وسلطانه، فيرغّبهم في فعل ما يأمرهم به بالإحسان إليهم إذا التزموا أمره ونهيه.
The dawn prayer was singled out for this excellence because of the hardship and difficulty it entails, so being keen upon it is a sign of sincerity. Allah Most High protects whoever prays the dawn prayer in congregation in the mosque. This excellence is for whoever prays the dawn prayer with the congregation in the mosque, reconciling the various hadith, except for women and those who have a valid excuse preventing them from attending it in congregation in the mosque. Abandoning the dawn prayer, or performing it after sunrise, exposes the servant to breaking the protection and the covenant between him and his Lord. It contains the utmost warning against wronging whoever prays the dawn prayer, which entails praying the rest of the five prayers, and that wronging such a person brings the utmost humiliation and torment. Perceiving Allah's mercy toward His servants and His love that they act in obedience to Him; for this reason He has appointed great rewards and immense merits for whoever acts in obedience to Him. Every person in authority should be gentle with those under his command and authority, encouraging them to do what he orders by treating them well when they comply with his commands and prohibitions.
