عَنْ أَنسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قال: إِنْ كَانَتِ الأَمَةُ مِنْ إِمَاءِ المَدِينَةِ لَتَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم، فَتَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ حَيثُ شَاءَتْ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Any of the slave-girls of Medina could take the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and lead him wherever she wished. [Reported by al-Bukhari]
الشرح · explanation
الأمة: الجارية المملوكة غير الحرّة. من إماء المدينة: أيًّا كانت. فَتَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ حَيثُ شَاءَتْ: أي بسبب إنصاته صلّى الله عليه وسلّم لها واهتمامه بموضوعها يمشي معها حيث توجهت وانطلقت.
Slave-girl: a bondwoman who is owned and not free. Of the slave-girls of Medina: whoever she might be. And lead him wherever she wished: that is, because of his attentive listening (peace and blessings be upon him) to her and his concern for her matter, he would walk with her wherever she headed and went.
