عَن الأسوَدِ بنِ يَزيدَ قال: سُئِلَت عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا: ما كانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يَصنعُ في بَيْتِهِ؟ قالت: كان يَكُونُ في مِهْنَةِ أَهْلِهِ، يَعني: خِدمَةَ أَهلِهِ فإِذا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلاةُ، خَرَجَ إِلى الصَّلاةِ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيّ.
Al-Aswad ibn Yazid reported: A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked, "What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do in his house?" She said, "He used to occupy himself with the work of his household" - meaning the service of his family - "and when the time for prayer came, he would go out to the prayer." [Reported by al-Bukhari]

كمال تواضع النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم وبرُّه بأهله. المحافظة على الصلاة في أول أوقاتها، وعدم الاشتغال بغيرها. إعطاء كل عمل وقته، ففي البيت يكون في شأن أهله وعند حضور وقت الصلاة يتفرغ لربه.
The perfect humility of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his kindness toward his family. Guarding the prayer at the beginning of its time and not being preoccupied with anything else. Giving each task its proper time: in the house he attended to his family's affairs, and when the time of prayer came he devoted himself wholly to his Lord.
