عَنْ أَنسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قال: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إلى النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ فقالَ: يا رسُولَ اللهِ، إِني أُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَزَوِّدْني، فَقَالَ: «زَوَّدَكَ اللهُ التَّقْوَى» قالَ: زِدْني، قال: «وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَكَ» قال: زِدْني، قالَ: «وَيَسَّرَ لكَ الخيْرَ حَيْثُمَا كُنْتَ». رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقالَ: حديثٌ حسنٌ.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I intend to travel, so provide me with provision. He said: "May Allah provide you with the provision of taqwa (God-consciousness)." The man said: Give me more. He said: "And may He forgive your sin." The man said: Give me more. He said: "And may He make good easy for you wherever you are." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan (good) hadith.

استحباب إخبار وليّ الأمر والرجل الصالح بإرادته السفر ليطلب منه النصيحة والدعاء. استحباب أن يدعوا هم له بجوامع الخير. استحباب الاستزادة من الدعاء، وأن يجيب المسؤول طلبه تطييبًا لقلبه.
It is recommended to inform the ruler and the righteous man of one's intention to travel, so as to seek from him advice and supplication. It is recommended that they supplicate for him with comprehensive words of good. It is recommended to ask for more supplication, and that the one asked grant the request to please the heart of the seeker.
