عن أُمِّ سَلمةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قالتْ: كان أَحَبَّ الثِّيابِ إِلى رسولِ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ القَميصُ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ، والتِّرْمِذِيُّ وقال: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.
Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The most beloved garment to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the shirt. Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan (good) hadith.

القميص: ثوب مخيط بكمين يلبس تحت الثياب من القطن غالبًا.
The shirt (qamis): a sewn garment with two sleeves, worn under the clothes, usually of cotton.

أنّ النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم كان يحب القميص من الثياب المخيطة، لأنّه أستر للأعضاء من الإزار والرداء، وهو أقل مؤنة وأخف على البدن، ولابسه أكثر تواضعًا. كمال حياء النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم الاقتداء برسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم في ملبسه وما يحبه من اللباس.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved the shirt among sewn garments, because it covers the limbs better than the lower wrap and cloak, is less costly and lighter on the body, and its wearer is more humble. The perfect modesty of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in his dress and in the clothing he loved.
