عَنْ عليٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: رأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ حَرِيرًا فَجَعلَهُ في يَمينهِ، وَذَهَبًا فَجَعَلَهُ في شِمالِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إنَّ هذَيْنِ حرَامٌ عَلى ذُكُورِ أُمَّتي». رواهُ أبُو دَاوُودَ بإسنادٍ حسنٍ.
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) take silk and place it in his right hand, and gold and place it in his left hand, then he said: "These two are forbidden to the males of my nation." Reported by Abu Dawud with a hasan (good) chain.
