From Umm Hani Fakhitah bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Conquest while he was bathing and Fatimah was screening him. So I greeted him, and she mentioned the hadith. Reported by Muslim.
"The day of the Conquest": that is, the day of the conquest of Mecca. "Screening him": she was holding a covering for him to shield him from view. "And she mentioned the hadith": which is that she had granted protection to one of the polytheists, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) wanted to kill him, so she came complaining about it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) upheld her grant of protection.
