عَنْ أسْماءَ بِنْتِ يزيدَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْها قالتْ: مرَّ عَليْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ في نِسْوَةٍ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ، والتِّرْمِذِيُّ وقالَ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، وهذا لفظُ أبي دَاوُودَ، ولفظُ التِّرْمِذِيِّ: أنَّ رسولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ مَرَّ في المَسْجِدِ يوْمًا وعُصْبَةٌ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ قُعُودٌ، فَأَلْوَى بِيَدِهِ بالتَّسْليمِ.
From Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by us among a group of women and greeted us. Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan (good) hadith. This is the wording of Abu Dawud. And the wording of al-Tirmidhi: that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed through the mosque one day while a group of women were sitting, and he gestured with his hand in greeting.

عصبة: جماعة. فألوى بيده: أشار بها مسلمًا.
"A group ('usbah)": a company. "He gestured with his hand": he pointed with it in greeting.
