عَنْ أنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: كانَ غُلامٌ يَهُودِيٌّ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ، فمرِضَ، فأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يعُودهُ، فَقَعَدَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ فقالَ لَهُ: «أَسْلِمْ» فنَظَرَ إِلى أَبِيهِ وهُو عِنْدَهُ؟ فقال: أَطِعْ أَبا الْقاسِمِ، فَأَسْلَم، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم، وَهُوَ يقولُ: «الحَمْدُ للّهِ الَّذي أَنْقذَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ». رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He fell ill, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit him. He sat by his head and said to him: "Accept Islam." The boy looked at his father, who was beside him, and the father said: "Obey Abu al-Qasim." So he accepted Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out saying: "Praise be to Allah who saved him from the Fire." Reported by al-Bukhari.

جواز استخدام المشرك والصغير. لا حرج في عيادة غير المسلم إذا ترتّب على ذلك مصلحة. فضل النّبيّ صلّى اللّهُ عليه وسلّم ومدى تأثيره على النفوس والقلوب بإخلاصه وإشفاقه على الناس. فضل صحبة الصالحين وما تجنيه من ثمرات في الدنيا قبل الآخرة. الطمع في هداية العاصين والكفار، وعدم اليأس منهم. حثّ الآباء على إرادة الخير والهدى لأبنائهم، حَتَّى ولو كانوا غير قائمين به.
The permissibility of employing a polytheist and a minor. There is no harm in visiting a non-Muslim if some benefit results from it. The excellence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the extent of his influence upon souls and hearts through his sincerity and his compassion for people. The merit of keeping the company of the righteous and the fruits it yields in this world before the Hereafter. Hope for the guidance of sinners and disbelievers, and not despairing of them. Urging fathers to desire good and guidance for their children, even if they themselves are not upholding it.
