عَنْ أَبي سعيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ فقالَ: «يَا مُحَمَّدُ، اشْتَكَيْتَ؟ قالَ: «نَعَمْ» قال: بِاسْمِ اللّهِ أَرْقِيكَ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عيْنِ حَاسِدٍ، اللّهُ يشْفِيكَ، بِاسْمِ اللّهِ أَرْقِيكَ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Abu Said al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad, do you feel ill?" He said: "Yes." He said: "In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah over you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or the eye of every envier; may Allah heal you; in the name of Allah I perform ruqyah over you." Reported by Muslim.
الشرح · explanation
يؤذيك: يصيبك بمكروه. كل نفس: خبيثة أمارة بالسوء. عين حاسد: معيان يحسدك على ما أنت فيه من نعمة.
"Harms you": afflicts you with something disliked. "Every soul": every wicked soul inclined to evil. "The eye of an envier": one who casts the evil eye and envies you for the blessing you enjoy.
