عَنْ أَنسٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رجُلًا قال: يا رسولَ اللّهِ إِنِّي أُحِبُّ هذِهِ السُّورَةَ: قُلْ هُوَ اللّهُ أَحَدٌ قال: «إِنَّ حُبَّها أَدْخَلَكَ الجنَّةَ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: حديثٌ حسنٌ. ورَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ في صَحِيحهِ تَعْليقًا.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, I love this surah, "Say: He is Allah, [who is] One." He said: "Your love for it has admitted you to Paradise." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan hadith. And al-Bukhari reported it in his Sahih in suspended (mu'allaq) form.

The merit of Surah al-Ikhlas, and the affirmation that the reward of reciting it once is like the reward of reciting a third of the Qur'an; that is because the sciences of the Qur'an are three—tawhid, legislation, and morals—and the entire science of tawhid is contained in "Say: He is Allah, [who is] One."
