عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: قالَ رسولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «منْ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ فهُوَ في ذِمَّةِ اللّهِ، فَانْظُرْ يَا بْنَ آدمَ، لا يَطْلُبنَّكَ اللّهُ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ بِشَيْءٍ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Jundub ibn Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prays the dawn prayer is under the protection of Allah, so beware, O son of Adam, that Allah does not hold you to account for anything from His protection." Reported by Muslim.
الشرح · explanation
ذمة اللّهِ: أي في حفظه وأمانه. لا يطلبنك: لا يؤاخذنك اللّه بسبب غفلتك عن صلاة الصبح، أو لا يحاسبنك اللّه بسبب تعرضك بأذى لمن هو في ذمة اللّهِ.
"the protection of Allah": that is, under His safeguard and security. "does not hold you to account": that Allah does not take you to task for your negligence of the dawn prayer, or that Allah does not call you to account for harming one who is under Allah's protection.

بيان فضل من داوم على صلاة الصبح مع الجماعة، والتحذير من التعرض له بسوء. النّهي عن التعرض بالأذى لكل مسلم صلّى صلاة الصبح، فإنّ من صلّى صلاة الصبح فهو في أمان اللّهِ وضمانه، ولا يجوز لأحد أن يتعرض لِمَن أمَّنَه اللّه. أنّه يجب احترام المسلمين الذي صدَّقوا إسلامهم بصلاة الفجر، لأنّ صلاة الفجر لا يصليها إلا مؤمن، وأنّه لا يجوز لأحد أن يعتدي عليهم.
A statement of the merit of one who is constant in the dawn prayer in congregation, and a warning against harming him. The prohibition of inflicting harm upon any Muslim who has prayed the dawn prayer, for whoever prays the dawn prayer is under Allah's security and guarantee, and it is not permissible for anyone to attack one whom Allah has granted safety. That it is obligatory to respect the Muslims who have confirmed their Islam by the dawn prayer, because none prays the dawn prayer except a believer, and it is not permissible for anyone to transgress against them.
