عنْ عُثْمانَ بنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: سَمِعْتُ رسُولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يقولُ: «مَنْ صَلَّى العِشَاءَ في جَـمَاعَةٍ فَكَأَنَّما قامَ نِصْفَ اللَّيْلِ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ في جَمَاعَةٍ فَكَأَنَّما صَلَّى اللَّيْلَ كُلَّهُ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ. وفي رِوَايةِ التِّرْمِذِيُّ عنْ عُثْمانَ قالَ: قالَ رسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «مَنْ شَهِدَ العِشَاءَ في جَمَاعةٍ كانَ لَهُ قِيَامُ نِصْفِ لَيْلَةٍ، ومَنْ شَهِدَ العِشَاءَ والْفَجْرَ في جمَاعَةٍ كَانَ لَهُ كَقِيَامِ لَيْلَةٍ» قالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever prays Isha in congregation, it is as if he stood [in prayer] for half the night; and whoever prays Fajr in congregation, it is as if he prayed the whole night." Reported by Muslim. In al-Tirmidhi's narration, from Uthman, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever attends Isha in congregation has [the reward of] standing in prayer half a night; and whoever attends Isha and Fajr in congregation has [the reward of] standing in prayer a whole night." Al-Tirmidhi said: a hasan sahih hadith.
