أنّ من السنّة جعل الوتر آخر شيء بعد صلاة الليل سواء كانت سنّةً راتبةً أو تراويحًا أو تهجدًا أو نفلًا مطلقًا. قيل من الحكمة في الختام بالوتر أن الوتر أفضل من هذه الصلوات الليلية فنُدِب وقوعه بعدها ليختم عمله بالأفضل ما ورد من صلاته صلّى اللّهُ عليه وسلّم للوتر في أول الليل دليل على جواز أن يجعل الإنسان صلاة الليل كلها في أوله.

It is from the Sunnah to make the witr the last thing performed after the night prayer, whether it be a regular sunnah prayer, tarawih, tahajjud, or an absolute voluntary prayer. It is said that part of the wisdom in sealing one's worship with the witr is that the witr is more excellent than these night prayers, so it is recommended to perform it after them, so that one seals his deeds with the most excellent. What is reported of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) praying the witr at the beginning of the night is evidence that a person may perform all of his night prayer at its beginning.
