عن جابر رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُ قال: سئل رَسُول اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّم أي الصلاة أفضل؟ قال: «طول القنوت» رَوَاهُ مُسلِمٌ.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, "Which prayer is best?" He said, "Prolonged standing (qunut)." Reported by Muslim.

أنّ تطويل القيام في الصلاة أفضل من تطويل الركوع والسجود والإكثار منهما، وذلك لأنّ ذكر القيام: القرآن، وهو أفضل الأذكار.
Prolonging the standing in prayer is superior to prolonging the bowing and prostration or multiplying them, because the dhikr of the standing is the Qur'an, which is the best of all forms of remembrance.
