عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَاَل: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَطَرَفُ السِّوَاكِ عَلَى لِسَانِهِ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ، وَهَذَا لَفْظُ مُسْلِمٍ.
Abu Musa al-Ashari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I entered upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while the tip of the siwak was on his tongue. Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim); this is the wording of Muslim.

كثرة اعتناء النبي صَلَّى اللّهُ عليه وَسَلَّمَ بالسواك، وأنه يكون لجميع الفم من أسنان ولسان. حرص الصحابة رضي اللّهُ عنهم على نقل أحوال النّبيّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عليه وَسَلَّمَ وما كان عليه.
The Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) great attention to the siwak, and that it is for the whole mouth, the teeth and the tongue. The Companions' (may Allah be pleased with them) keenness to convey the states and conduct of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
