عَنْ أَبِي أَيُوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَالَ: لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا اللّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ كَانَ كَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ أرْبَعَةَ أَنفُسٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْماعِيلَ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says, 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent,' ten times, is like one who freed four souls from among the descendants of Isma'il." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

أَعْتَقَ أرْبعةَ أَنفُسٍ مِن وَلِد إسْماعِيلَ: سبب تخصيص ذرية إسماعيل بالذكر هو أنهم أشرف من سبي واسترق.
"Freed four souls from among the descendants of Isma'il": the reason the descendants of Isma'il are singled out for mention is that they were the noblest of those taken captive and enslaved.
