عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُؤمِنِينَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْها: أنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِهَا بُكرَةً حِينَ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ وَهِيَ فِي مَسْجِدِهَا، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَضْحَى وَهَي جَالِسَةٌ، فَقَالَ: «مَا زِلْتِ عَلَى الْحَالِ الَّتِي فَارَقْتُكِ عَلَيْهَا؟» قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَقَدْ قُلْتُ بَعْدَكِ أرْبَعَ كَلمَاتٍ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، لَوْ وُزِنَتْ بِمَا قُلْتِ مُنْذُ الْيَومِ لَوَزَنَتْهُنَّ: سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، ومِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لَهُ: «سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رِضَا نَفْسِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ» وَفِي رِوَايَةِ التِّرْمِذِيِّ: «أَلا أُعلِّمُكِ كَلِمَاتٍ تَقُولِينَهَا؟ سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رِضَا نَفْسِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رِضَا نَفْسِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رِضَا نَفْسِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ مِدادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ»
Umm al-Mu'minin Juwayriyah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left her presence early in the morning, when he had prayed the dawn prayer, while she was in her place of prayer; then he returned after the forenoon had come, while she was still sitting. He said: "Are you still in the state in which I left you?" She said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After leaving you I have said four words three times, which, if weighed against what you have said since this morning, would outweigh them: Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, as many as the number of His creation, as pleases Him, as the weight of His Throne, and as the ink of His words." Reported by Muslim. In another narration of his: "Glory be to Allah as many as the number of His creation; glory be to Allah as pleases Him; glory be to Allah as the weight of His Throne; glory be to Allah as the ink of His words." In the narration of al-Tirmidhi: "Shall I not teach you words that you may say? Glory be to Allah as many as the number of His creation, glory be to Allah as many as the number of His creation, glory be to Allah as many as the number of His creation; glory be to Allah as pleases Him, glory be to Allah as pleases Him, glory be to Allah as pleases Him; glory be to Allah as the weight of His Throne, glory be to Allah as the weight of His Throne, glory be to Allah as the weight of His Throne; glory be to Allah as the ink of His words, glory be to Allah as the ink of His words, glory be to Allah as the ink of His words."

في مسجدها: موضع صلاتها في بيتها. أضحى: دخل في وقت الضحى، أي بعد أن ارتفعت الشمس. الحال التي فارقتك عليها: أي من التوجه للذكر. وزنت: قوبلت. لوزنتهن: لساوتهن في الأجر والفضل. رضا نفسه: رضا ذاته العليّة. زنة عرشه: أي مقدار ما يزن عرشه. مداد كلماته: كثرة كلماته، وقيل: علمه وكلامه لا يُعد إن يُعد.
"In her masjid": the place where she prayed in her house. "It became forenoon (adha)": the time of the forenoon (Duha) had come, that is, after the sun had risen high. "The state in which I left you": that is, of being devoted to remembrance. "Weighed (wuzinat)": were set against. "Would outweigh them (lawazanathunna)": would match them in reward and merit. "As pleases Him (rida nafsihi)": the good pleasure of His exalted Self. "As the weight of His Throne (zinata arshihi)": that is, the measure of what His Throne weighs. "As the ink of His words (midada kalimatihi)": the multitude of His words; and it is said: His knowledge and speech, which cannot be counted.
