Riyad Al Salihin

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says, when he rises in the morning and when he comes to the evening: Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him (Subhan Allah wa bi-hamdih), one hundred times, no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with anything better than what he has brought, except one who said the like of what he said or added to it." Reported by Muslim.

That engaging abundantly in this remembrance is beloved to Allah the Exalted, and that it has no limit beyond which one may not go; and the wisdom in specifying the morning and the evening for remembrance is that one's beginning and one's end may be with a religious act and an act of obedience, so that it becomes an expiation for whatever occurs during the rest of the day.
