Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate with this supplication: "O Allah, forgive me my sins, my ignorance, my extravagance in my affairs, and whatever You know better than I. O Allah, forgive me my earnestness and my jesting, my errors and my deliberate acts — all of which are found in me. O Allah, forgive me what I have sent before and what I have left behind, what I have concealed and what I have made public, and whatever You know better than I. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who puts back, and You have power over all things." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
