عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لا يُبَلِّغْنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي عَنْ أَحَدٍ شَيْئًا، فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنَا سَلِيمُ الصَّدْرِ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ.
Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let none of my Companions convey to me anything about anyone, for I love to come out to you with a sound heart." Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi.

لا يبلغني: يخبرني ويوصل إليَّ. شيئًا: أي ممّا أكرهه وأغضب عليه.
"convey to me": inform me and pass on to me. "anything": that is, of what I dislike and would be angered by.

مدى اهتمام النّبيّ صَلّى اللّهُ عليه وسلّم بسلامة صدره، فهو ينهى ويحذِّر من أن يُنْقَل إليه ما يُوغِر صَدْره، ويغيِّر قلبه تجاه أصحابه الكرام، رضوان اللّه عليهم أجمعين.
The extent of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) concern for the soundness of his heart: he forbids and warns against having conveyed to him anything that would inflame his breast and change his heart toward his noble Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all.
