عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاثَةً فَلا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الْآخَرِ حَتَّى يَخْتَلِطُوا بِالنَّاسِ، مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you are three, let not two converse privately to the exclusion of the other until you mingle with (other) people, for that saddens him." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
الشرح · explanation
حتى تختلطوا: أي حتى يختلط الثلاثة بالناس.
"Until you mingle": that is, until the three mingle with (other) people.
