عنِ ابن عُمر رضي اللّه عنهُما قَالَ: رَأى رَسُولُ اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم صبِيًا قَدْ حُلِقَ بعْضُ شَعْر رأسِهِ وتُرِكَ بعْضُهُ، فَنَهَاهَمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَال: «احْلِقُوهُ كُلَّهُ أو اتْرُكُوهُ كُلَّهُ» رواهُ أبو داود بإسناد صحيحٍ على شَرْطِ البُخَارِي وَمسْلِم.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a boy part of whose head hair had been shaved and part left, so he forbade them from that and said: "Shave all of it or leave all of it." Reported by Abu Dawud with a sahih (authentic) chain meeting the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim.
