عَنْ أُمِّ المُؤْمِنِينَ جُوَيْريَةَ بنْتِ الحَارِثِ رَضِيَ اللّه عَنهَا أَنَّ النَّبيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا يوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ وَهَيَ صائمَةٌ، فَقَالَ: «أَصُمْتِ أَمْسِ؟» قَالَتْ: لا، قَالَ: «تُرِيدينَ أَنْ تَصُومِي غدًا؟» قَالَتْ: لا، قَالَ: «فَأَفْطِري» رَوَاهُ البُخاري.

Umm al-Mu'minin Juwayriyah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered upon her on a Friday while she was fasting, and he said: "Did you fast yesterday?" She said: No. He said: "Do you intend to fast tomorrow?" She said: No. He said: "Then break your fast." Reported by al-Bukhari.
