Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the Dajjal in the midst of the people and said: "Indeed Allah is not one-eyed. Behold, the Masih al-Dajjal is blind in the right eye; his eye is like a floating grape." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Among the physical attributes of the Dajjal is that he is blind in the right eye. The matter of the Dajjal remains among the affairs of the unseen, and rational inquiry has no way to analyze or study this being beyond what the authentic texts have reported, for the only rational avenue to understanding anything about him is certain report; and were it not for the coming of this report, we would not have conceived of his existence, let alone believed in it and in his appearance. The matters of the unseen concerning which authentic reports have come must be believed in, and they are not subject to rational proof; for the judgments of reason are built upon sense-perception and observation, and these do not necessarily negate what lies beyond them of the unseen world, since the knowledge of the unseen contains that which no intellect can encompass. That is why Allah (the Exalted) praised the believers who believe in the unseen, saying, Glorified is He: "Alif Lam Mim. This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for the God-fearing, who believe in the unseen..." [Surah al-Baqarah].
