عَنْ أبي هُريْرَةَ رضي اللّه عنْهُ أنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قالَ: «لا تَقُومُ الساعَةُ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلَ المُسْلِمُونَ الْيَهُودَ حتَّى يَخْتَبِئ الْيَهُوديُّ مِنْ وَراءِ الحَجَر والشَّجَرِ، فَيَقُولُ الحَجَرُ والشَّجَرُ: يَا مُسْلِمُ هذا يَهُودِيٌّ خَلْفي تَعَالَ فَاقْتُلْهُ، إلّا الْغَرْقَدَ فَإنَّهُ منْ شَجَرِ الْيَهُودِ» متفقٌ عليه.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until the Muslims fight the Jews, until a Jew hides behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or the tree says: 'O Muslim, this is a Jew behind me; come and kill him' — except the gharqad tree, for it is one of the trees of the Jews." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

الغرقد: نوع من شجر الشوك معروف ببلاد بيت المقدس.
"al-gharqad": a kind of thorn tree well known in the region of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).

ثبوت قتال المسلمين لليهود وانتصارهم عليهم، وهذا من أخبار الغيب الذي يجب الإيمان به، ولا بد أن يقع كما أخبر النبيّ صلّى اللٌه عليه وسلّم، واللّه أعلم بزمانه. نطق الشجر والحجر والإخبار عمن يختبئ وراءهما من اليهود، وهذا ليس مستحيلًا على قدرة اللّه تعالى أن يجعل فيهما القدرة على النطق والإخبار.
The confirmation of the Muslims fighting the Jews and their victory over them; this is among the reports of the unseen that must be believed in, and it must inevitably come to pass as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reported, and Allah knows best its time. The speaking of the tree and the rock and their reporting of the Jew hiding behind them; this is not impossible for the power of Allah (the Exalted), that He should place in them the capacity to speak and to inform.
