عنْ أبي سُلَيْمَانَ خَالِدِ بنِ الْولِيدِ رضي اللّه عَنْهُ قالَ: «لَقَدِ انْقَطَعَتْ في يَدِي يوْمَ مُؤتَةَ تِسْعَةُ أسْيافٍ، فَمَا بقِيَ في يدِي إلا صَفِيحةٌ يَمَانِيَّةٌ». رواهُ البُخاري.
Abu Sulayman Khalid ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "On the day of Mu'tah, nine swords broke in my hand, and there remained in my hand nothing but a Yemeni blade." Reported by al-Bukhari.
