عن أبي موسى الأشعرِيِّ رضي اللّه عنه قال: قال رسول اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «إِذَا مرِضَ الْعبْدُ أَوْ سافَرَ كُتِب لَه مثلُ ما كانَ يعْملُ مُقِيمًا صحيِحًا» رواه البخاري.
Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When a servant falls ill or travels, the same reward is recorded for him as he used to earn when he was healthy and resident." Narrated by al-Bukhari.

قوله أو سافر: إذا كان سفرُه في غير معصية.
"Or travels" refers to travel that is not in disobedience to Allah.

إذا كان من عادة الإنسان أن يعمل عملًا صالحًا، ثم مرض فلم يقدر عليه، فإنّه يكتب له الأجر كاملًا. هذه الفضيلة خاصة إذا كان العمل غير واجب، فإن كان واجبًا فإنّه لا يُسقطه العذر فلا بد من القيام به أو ببدله على قدر استطاعته ويأثم إن تركه. الحثّ والتحريض على الاستكثار من الخير.
If a person is accustomed to performing a righteous deed, then falls ill and is unable to do it, the full reward will still be recorded for him. This virtue applies specifically when the deed is voluntary (non-obligatory). If it is obligatory, the excuse does not waive it; one must perform it or its substitute to the best of one's ability, and one is sinful if he abandons it entirely. Encouragement and motivation to increase one's good deeds.
