On the authority of Abu Mas'ud Uqbah ibn Amr al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever guides someone to good shall have a reward equal to that of the one who does it.' Narrated by Muslim.
The context of the hadith is that a man said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): 'Provide me with a mount.' He said: 'I do not have one.' Another man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I can direct him to someone who can provide him a mount.' So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever guides someone to good...'

The immense grace of Allah the Most High, for He grants the one who directs to a good deed a reward equal to that of the doer, without any decrease in the doer's reward. The encouragement to strive for good and to guide others to it, for the one who is a cause of a righteous deed receives the same reward and recompense as the one who performs it.
