عنْ أبي أُمَامَةَ صُدَيِّ بْنِ عَجْلانَ الْباهِلِيِّ رضي اللّهُ عنه قال: سَمِعْتُ رسول اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يَخْطُبُ في حَجَّةِ الْودَاع فَقَالَ: «اتَّقُوا اللّهَ، وصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وصُومُوا شَهْرَكمْ، وأَدُّوا زكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ، وَأَطِيعُوا أُمَرَاءَكُمْ، تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ» رواه التِّرْمذيُّ في آخر كتابِ الصلاةِ وقال: حديثٌ حسنٌ صحيح.
Abu Umamah Sudayy ibn 'Ajlan al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) delivering a sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada'), in which he said: "Fear Allah, pray your five daily prayers, fast your month (of Ramadan), pay the zakat on your wealth, and obey your leaders, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord." Narrated by al-Tirmidhi at the end of the Book of Prayer, who said: It is a good and authentic (hasan sahih) hadith.
الشرح · explanation
حَجّة الوداع: آخر حجّة حجّها النبيّ صلّى اللّه عليه وسلّم، وسُمّيَت بذلك لأنّه صلّى اللّه عليه وسلّم ودّع الناس فيها. اتّقوا اللّه: خافوا عقابه، واصبروا. خمسكم: أي الصلوات الخمس المفروضة. شهركم: أي شهر رمضان. وأدّوا: أعطوا. أمراءكم: أولياء الأمور منكم.
Hajjat al-Wada': the last pilgrimage performed by the Prophet (peace be upon him). It was called the Farewell Pilgrimage because he (peace be upon him) bade farewell to the people during it. Ittaqu Allah: fear His punishment and be patient. Khamsakum: meaning the five obligatory daily prayers. Shahrakum: meaning the month of Ramadan. Wa addu: give, pay. Umara'akum: your leaders and those in authority among you.

أن التزام هذه الأعمال من تقوى اللّه عزّ وجلّ. أن تقوى اللّه تعالى طريق الجنّة وشرط دخولها. الاستقامة في الدنيا سبب النجاة في الآخرة.
Adherence to these acts of worship is part of the piety (taqwa) of Allah. Piety toward Allah the Exalted is the path to Paradise and the condition for entering it. Uprightness in this world is the cause of salvation in the Hereafter.
