عن ابْنِ عَبَّاس رضي اللّه عنهما قَالَ: "حسْبُنَا اللّهُ ونِعْمَ الْوكِيلُ قَالَهَا إبْراهِيمُ صلّى اللّه عليه وسلّم حينَ أُلْقِى في النَّارِ، وَقالهَا مُحمَّدٌ صلّى اللّه عليه وسلّم حيِنَ قَالُوا: إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا وقَالُوا: حَسْبُنَا اللّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوكِيلُ رواه البخاري. وفي رواية لَهُ عن ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي اللّه عنهما قَالَ: "كَانَ آخِرَ قَوْل إبْراهِيمَ صلّى اللّه عليه وسلّم حِينَ ألْقِي في النَّارِ "حسْبي اللّهُ وَنِعمَ الْوَكِيلُ".

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: "'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs (Hasbuna Allahu wa ni'ma al-Wakil)' -- Ibrahim (Abraham) (peace be upon him) said it when he was cast into the fire, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) said it when they told him: 'The people have gathered against you, so fear them,' but it only increased them in faith, and they said: 'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.'" Narrated by al-Bukhari. In another narration from him, Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: "The last words of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire were: 'Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs (Hasbi Allahu wa ni'ma al-Wakil).'"
