Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I looked at the feet of the polytheists while we were in the cave and they were above our heads. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, if any one of them were to look beneath his feet, he would see us.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "What do you think, O Abu Bakr, about two whose third companion is Allah?" Agreed upon (narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim).
