عن أَنسٍ رضي اللّه عنه عن النبيّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قال: «لا يُؤْمِنُ أَحدُكُمْ حتَّى يُحِبَّ لأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ» متفقٌ عليه.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." Agreed upon.
الشرح · explanation
لا يؤمن: أي لا يؤمن إيمانًا كاملًا. ما يحبّ لنفسه: من الطاعات والمباحات.
"Does not truly believe" (la yu'min): meaning does not attain complete faith. "What he loves for himself" (ma yuhibb li-nafsihi): of acts of obedience and permissible matters.

المؤمن مع المؤمن كالنفس الواحدة؛ فينبغي أن يحبَّ له ما يحبُّ لنفسه من حيث إنّهما نفس واحدة. من الإيمان أيضًا أن يبغضَ المسلم لأخيه ما يبغضُ لنفسه من الشرّ. الحض على التواضع ومحاسن الأخلاق. الترغيب في محبّة المسلمين بعضهم بعضًا وائتلافهم، لأنّ ذلك يؤدي إلى التعاضد والتناصر. المراد بالحبّ في الحديث ليس الحبّ القلبي فقط وإنّما الحبّ المقرون بحسن المعاملة والإيثار والوفاء والتضحية.
A believer with another believer is like a single soul; one should love for the other what he loves for himself, since they are as one. It is also part of faith to dislike for one's brother what one dislikes for oneself of evil. The encouragement of humility and noble character. The encouragement of mutual love and harmony among Muslims, as this leads to mutual support and solidarity. The love mentioned in the hadith is not merely a feeling in the heart, but love accompanied by good treatment, selflessness, loyalty, and sacrifice.
