عن أَنس رضي اللّه عنه، عن النبيّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قال: «مَنْ عَالَ جَارِيتَيْنِ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَا جَاءَ يَومَ القِيامَةِ أَنَا وَهُو كَهَاتَيْنِ» وَضَمَّ أَصَابِعَهُ. رواه مسلم.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said, "Whoever raises two daughters until they reach maturity, he and I will come on the Day of Resurrection like this," and he joined his fingers. [Muslim]
الشرح · explanation
عَالَ: قام عليهما بالمؤونة والتربية النفسية والسلوكية الصحيحة وتعليمهما أمور دينهما ونحو ذلك. جَارِيَتَيْنِ: بِنْتَيْنِ سواء أمِنْ أولاده كُنّ أم لا. حتى تبلغا: قيل أي حتى تَصِلَا سنّ البلوغ، وقيل: حتى تصلا إلى حال تستقلّان فيها بالزواج أو غيره.
"ʿĀla": took charge of their provision, their emotional and behavioral upbringing, teaching them their religion, and the like. "Two daughters" (jāriyatayn): two girls, whether from his own children or not. "Until they reach maturity": some say, until they reach the age of puberty; some say, until they reach a state of independence through marriage or otherwise.

فضل إعالة البنات والبِرّ بهنّ. العناية بالبنات تربيةً وتهذيبًا وتغذيةً وتوجيهًا سبب لدخول الوالدين الجنّة وعلوّ منزلتهما فيها. في هذا الحديث رد على الأفّاكين الذين يدّعون بأن الإسلام هضم حقوق المرأة، بل الإسلام هو الذي رفع من شأن المرأة وأعطاها حقوقها وصان كرامتها. إنكار العقلية الجاهلية التي لا تزال رواسبها عند بعض المسلمين في نظرة الكره للبنات وتفضيل البنين عليهنّ.
The virtue of raising daughters and being kind to them. Caring for girls through upbringing, refinement, nourishment, and guidance is a cause for the parents entering Paradise and attaining a high rank therein. In this hadith there is a refutation of those who slander Islam, claiming that it suppresses the rights of women; rather Islam elevated woman, gave her rights, and preserved her dignity. A denunciation of the pre-Islamic mindset — whose remnants remain in some Muslims — of disliking daughters and preferring sons over them.
