عن مُصْعبِ بنِ سعدِ بنِ أبي وقَّاصٍ رضي اللّه عنهما: رَأَى سعْدٌ أَنَّ لَهُ فَضْلًا علَى مَنْ دُونَهُ، فقال النبيُّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «هَل تُنْصرُونَ وتُرْزقُونَ إِلَّا بِضُعَفائِكُم؟» رواه البخاري.
Muṣʿab ibn Saʿd ibn Abi Waqqaṣ (may Allah be pleased with them) reported: Saʿd saw that he had a merit over those below him, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Are you granted victory and provision except through your weak ones?" [Bukhari]
الشرح · explanation
رأى سعد: أي ظنَّ واعتقد في نفْسه، وسعد هو ابن أبي وقاص. أن له فضلًا: بسبب شجاعته أو نسبه أو غِناه أو نحو ذلك.
"Saʿd saw": thought and believed within himself — Saʿd is Ibn Abi Waqqaṣ. "That he had a merit": because of his courage, lineage, wealth, or the like.

الحديث مُرسلٌ لأنّ مصعَب بن سعد تَابِعِيٌّ، وقد وَرَدَ مُتَّصلًا عن مصعب عن أَبيه سعد رضي اللّه عنهما. الحذر من التكبّر والحضّ على التواضع.
The hadith is mursal because Muṣʿab ibn Saʿd was of the Followers (Tabiʿīn), and it has been narrated with an uninterrupted chain from Muṣʿab from his father Saʿd (may Allah be pleased with them). A warning against arrogance and encouragement toward humility.
