عن عائشةَ رضي اللّهُ عنها قالت: قالَ رسولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «الرَّحِمُ مَعَلَّقَةٌ بِالعَرْشِ تَقُولُ: مَنْ وَصَلَنِي وَصَلَهُ اللّهُ، وَمَنْ قَطَعَنِي قَطَعَهُ اللّهُ» متفقٌ عليه.
On the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The (tie of) kinship is suspended at the Throne, saying: Whoever maintains me, Allah maintains him; and whoever severs me, Allah severs him." [Agreed upon.]

معلقة بالعرش: المعنى أنها لائذة بربّ العرش.
"Suspended at the Throne": the meaning is that it takes refuge with the Lord of the Throne.
