فاظفر: الظفر هو الفوز بالمطلوب. تربت يداك: التصقت يداك بالتراب، كَلِمَة أَصْلُهَا افْتَقَرت. توجيه الإسلام إلى اختيار الزوجة الصالحة، وجعلُها خيرَ متاعٍ ينبغي الحرص عليه. أَنَّ النَّاس يَقْصِدُونَ في الْعَادَةِ مِنَ المَرْأَةِ هَذِهِ الخِصَالَ الأَرْبعَ، فَاحِرصْ أَنْتَ عَلى ذَاتِ الدِّينِ، وَاظْفَرْ بِهَا، واحْرِص عَلى صُحْبَتِهَا. عندما يكون الداعي إلى الزواج هو الدِّين، فإنَّ هذا الزواج يُرجى له الاستمرار؛ لأنَّ الدِّين هدايةٌ للعقل والضمير، ولا بأس بوجود بقيّة الصفات الأخرى مع الدِّين إن توفر ذلك. من آثار الحرص على المرأة المتديّنة: طمأنينة الرجل لزوجته التي تطَّلع على أسراره وخفاياه، وضمان تربية الأولاد والحفاظ على الأموال وسمعة الأسرة، وهذه هي سعادة كل أسرة، لذلك كان للدّين المقام الأول عند اختيار الزوجة.

"So win her": to win is to attain what is sought. "May your hands be dusty": may your hands cling to the dust, an expression whose origin means "may you become poor." Islam's guidance towards choosing the righteous wife, making her the best of possessions that one ought to be keen on. People usually seek these four qualities in a woman, so be keen yourself on the one of religion, win her, and be keen on her companionship. When the motive for marriage is religion, then such a marriage may be hoped to endure, because religion is guidance for the mind and conscience; and there is no harm in the presence of the remaining qualities alongside religion, if that is available. Among the effects of being keen on the religious woman: the man's peace of mind regarding his wife, who is privy to his secrets and hidden affairs, the assurance of raising the children, the safeguarding of wealth and of the family's reputation. This is the happiness of every family, and for this reason religion held the first place in choosing a wife.
