Riyad Al Salihin

'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah alone, having no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and that Jesus is the servant of Allah and His Messenger and His word which He cast unto Mary and a spirit from Him, and that Paradise is true and Hell is true, Allah will admit him into Paradise according to whatever deeds he has done." [Agreed upon] In a narration of Muslim: "Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Allah will forbid the Fire to him."

"That Jesus is the servant of Allah": he singled him out for mention as a refutation of the Christians in their claim that he is the son of Allah or that Allah indwelt in him—Allah is exalted far above that. "His word": he was called so because he was created by the word and command of Allah ("Be"), without having a father.
