عن ابنِ عباسٍ، رضيَ اللهُ عنهما، قال: سمعتُ رسولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يقول: «مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسلِمٍ يَمُوتُ فَيَقُومُ عَلَى جَنازتِه أَرَبَعُونَ رَجُلًا لا يُشرِكُونَ بِاللهِ شَيئًا، إِلَّا شَفَّعَهُمُ اللهُ فِيه» رواه مسلم.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "There is no Muslim man who dies and forty men who associate nothing with Allah stand over his funeral prayer, but that Allah will accept their intercession for him." Narrated by Muslim.
