عن أبي هريرةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قال: قالَ رسُولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «لا يَلِجُ النَّارَ رَجُلٌ بَكَى مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللهِ حَتَّى يَعُودَ اللَّبَنُ في الضَّرْعِ، وَلا يَجْتَمعُ غُبَارٌ في سَبِيلِ اللهِ ودُخانُ جَهَنَّمَ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقال: حديثٌ حسنٌ صحيحٌ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man who wept out of fear of Allah will not enter the Fire until the milk returns to the udder, and the dust raised in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hell will never gather together." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: It is a good and authentic (hasan sahih) hadith.
الشرح · explanation
يلج: يدخل. بكى من خشية الله: أي بكى وامتثل أمره واجتنب نهيه. يعود اللبن في الضرع: أي يرجع الحليب إلى الثدي من مسامه وهو مستحيل عادة. غبار في سبيل الله: أي حصل بسبب جهاد أعداء الدين إرضاء لله تعالى.
"yaliju": enters. "wept out of fear of Allah": that is, he wept and complied with His command and avoided what He forbade. "the milk returns to the udder": that is, the milk goes back into the breast through its pores — which is ordinarily impossible. "dust in the cause of Allah": that is, dust raised through striving (jihad) against the enemies of the religion, seeking the pleasure of Allah, the Exalted.
