Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the Day when there will be no shade except His: a just ruler; a youth who grows up in the worship of Allah the Exalted; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love one another for the sake of Allah, coming together upon that and parting upon that; a man whom a woman of rank and beauty invites to herself, but he says, 'I fear Allah'; a man who gives in charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent; and a man who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes overflow with tears." Agreed upon.

The merit of the just ruler and Allah's care for him; he was mentioned before those after him because of the many benefits connected to him. The merit of the youth who has not engaged in sins and has struggled against his own self, so that he grew up in obedience to his Lord. The merit of one who frequents the mosques and whose heart yearns for them whenever he leaves them, out of love for the prayer and the various acts of worship performed therein. The merit of love for the sake of Allah, which unites brothers not upon any worldly gain. The merit of chastity when the inducements to sin are present, out of fear of Allah. The merit of secret charity, which neither wounds the feelings of the poor nor leads to ostentation. The merit of one who is alone with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, worshipping Him and remembering Him, and weeps out of fear of Him while hoping for His reward. A clarification that this fear and weeping in this world becomes a cause of security and joy on the Day of Resurrection.
