عَنْ أَنسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قال: قالَ رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «يُؤْتَى بَأَنْعَمِ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا مِن أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَيُصْبَغُ في النَّارِ صَبْغَةً، ثُمَّ يُقَالُ: يا ابْنَ آدَمَ؛ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ خيْرًا قَطُّ؟ هَلْ مَرَّ بِكَ نَعيمٌ قَطُّ؟ فيقولُ: لا وَاللهِ يا رَبِّ، وَيُؤْتَى بأَشَدِّ النَّاسِ بُؤْسًا في الدُّنْيَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الجَنَّةِ، فَيُصْبَغُ صَبْغَةً في الجَنَّةِ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ: يا ابْنَ آدَمَ؛ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ بُؤْسًا قَطُّ؟ هَلْ مَرَّ بِكَ شِدَّةٌ قَطُّ؟ فيقولُ: لا وَاللهِ، مَا مَرَّ بِي بُؤْسٌ قَطُّ، وَلا رَأَيْتُ شِدَّةً قَطُّ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the person who lived the most luxurious life among the people of the world, from among the inhabitants of the Fire, will be brought forth and dipped once into the Fire. Then he will be asked: 'O son of Adam, did you ever see any good? Did any comfort ever come to you?' He will reply: 'No, by Allah, my Lord.' Then the person who suffered the most misery in the world, from among the inhabitants of Paradise, will be brought forth and dipped once into Paradise. He will be asked: 'O son of Adam, did you ever see any misery? Did any hardship ever befall you?' He will reply: 'No, by Allah, no misery ever befell me, nor did I ever see any hardship.'"
