عن أبي بُرْدَةَ بنِ أَبِي موسى الأَشْعَريِّ رضيَ اللهُ عنه قال: أَخْرَجَتْ لَنا عائِشَةُ رضيَ اللهُ عنها كِساءً وَإِزارًا غَلِيظًا، قالَتْ: قُبِضَ رسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم في هذَيْن. متفقٌ عليه.
Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) brought out for us a coarse cloak and a coarse lower garment and said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away in these two." Agreed upon.

كساء: ثوب يستر أعلى البدن. إزار: ثوب يستر الجسم من السرة إلى الأسفل. غليظًا: ثخينًا.
Cloak (kisa'): a garment that covers the upper part of the body. Lower garment (izar): a garment that covers the body from the navel downward. Coarse (ghaliz): thick.

أن رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم كان يلبس أحيانًا الغليظ من الثياب، وهذا لا ينافي أنه كان له لباس غير هذا. كان يلبس صلّى الله عليه وسلّم ويأكل من غير تكلف.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would at times wear coarse garments; this does not contradict that he had clothing other than this. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would dress and eat without affectation.
